Pat Ryan, founder of Full Spectrum, is an accomplished musician, composer, and bandleader. A graduate of Ithaca College, Pat has studied with Charlie Banacos, Gene Bertoncini, Steve Khan, Pat Martino, and Mike & Leni Stern, as well as noted Atlanta-based music producer Rick Beato.
Pat's original music has been featured on the CD "Just Jazz," a compilation produced by the Cape Cod Jazz Society. He has also performed for many television shows and concerts throughout New England, and is an accomplished music educator as well. Pat sites such diverse influences as Egberto Gismonti, Pat Metheny, The Beatles, Jane Siberry, Jaco Pastorius, Milton Nascimento, Miles Davis, and Wayne Shorter.
The musicians who perform with FSM are, in a phrase, "musician's musicians." We love to play, and take great pleasure in our versatility and musicality. These qualities of enthusiasm for the music itself synergistically combine to help make your own event a truly remarkable and memorable one filled with lively, original renderings of your favorite music. FSM members have played with such artists as Aretha Franklin, Arturo Sandoval, Artie Shaw, Dizzy Gillespie, Della Reese, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Donald Byrd, Lou Rawls, Marvin Gaye, Roberta Flack, Eartha Kitt, Vanessa Williams, The Four Tops, and The Temptations. They have also appeared in major Hollywood films (band scenes in Meet Joe Black); and have played at the White House, Carnegie Hall, and at many jazz and music festivals across the nation. Some of Full Spectrum's musicians have been featured on their own original recordings, and on others throughout their careers. We look forward to filling your event with these sounds and playing in person for you!
