I was born in upstate New York, and music was a huge part of my formative life. My mom was a pianist/organist, my Dad a trumpet player. Both loved to sing, and in addition to immersing me in music as a young boy, they provided me with music lessons from a young age. I picked up the guitar at age 12 after hearing rock music on the radio, and played in a band throughout high my school years.
Ithaca College, where I got my undergraduate degree, is where I really discovered jazz, and took in concerts from musicians like Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Don Cherry, Allan Holdsworth, Pat Metheny and John Scofield (to name a few!). I've been a resident of beautiful Cape Cod, where I raised my fantastic daughters, for over three decades. I'm super proud of my recording of all original music, Blu Mulcru. I was so fortunate for the creative musical input of musicians Steve Langone, Jorge Roeder, Perry Rossi and Bill Jones! The record was featured on Boston’s acclaimed WGBH public radio jazz program “Eric in the Evening”. Being interviewed by legendary host Eric Jackson was a real thrill.
I have over 30 years experience performing in festivals and weddings, on cruise ships, in theater pits, in churches and in local music haunts, mostly on Cape Cod, but also on Florida's Gulf Coast.
Hope to see you soon!
